The house and garden are on approximately half an acre.
The garden and ponds have been designed to give a range of habitats for wildlife, including spring and summer wildflower meadow, native hedgerow, ponds and bog garden

There are areas for growing organic vegetables and fruit. We are particularly interested in planting perennial plants that combine aesthetics with production of medicine and food for us and other wildlife. Design of the garden has been influenced by ideas from Permaculture.

What you can do

See the Permaculture Association.
We have found particularly inspiring Plants for a Future by Ken Fern (1997) from Pemanent Publications.

See the 'What you can do' page for a compilation of tips and links from all sections.
